Specs On Dell’s Precision M4600 And M6600 Leak With Manual [A Leaked Manual Reveals Specs On Two Of Dell's Newest Laptops]

I know it’s been a while since we last heard about some Dell laptops, so let’s go ahead and fix that particular mistake right here and now with news about the Dell Precision M4600 and the Dell Precision M6600.

Thanks to a copy of a manual that slipped out of Dell’s clutches and promptly landed on the interwebs, we’ve got some fresh information about these so-called “mobile workstations”, and frankly, calling them that is no exaggeration.

The Precision M4600 offers up a 15.6 inch screen, a maximum of an Intel Core i7 Quad Extreme 2920M processor, and as much as 32 gigs of RAM, as well as a one gig AMD FirePro M5950, though you can upgrade that to an Nvidia Quadro 2000M, if you’d rather. You’ll also get two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA jack, and even an IEEE 1394 input.

Meanwhile, the Precision M6600 comes with most everything the M4600 does, but will let you step the graphics to a two gig FirePro M8900, while letting you convert it to a four gig Nvidia Quadro 5010M.

These are indeed some pretty impressive pieces of hardware, putting quite a bit of power inside their frames. And personally, I’ve never had much trouble with Dell hardware, owning a now six year old Dell desktop that’s still in operating condition, as well as a Dell laptop that takes a beating on a regular basis. I’d frankly recommend a Dell to anyone, because my experience with them has all been good. From what I read, though, I’m apparently living some kind of charmed life as far as some folks are concerned.

Pricing and release dates on these are still, sadly, all a blank. So keep it right here and we’ll keep an eye out for prices on the Dell Precision M4600 and the Dell Precision M6600 laptops, then pass them on to you.
