Droid Incredible 2 Release Date Leaked By Wirefly? [Wirefly Says Droid Incredible 2 Coming April 28th, Then Removes Page & Video]
Verizon has yet to officially announce the Droid Incredible 2 from HTC – a phone that has been rumored, photographed and all but confirmed. That lack of an official unveil from the carrier didn’t stop retailer Wirefly.com, though. They briefly posted an unboxing of the Droid Incredible 2, before promising pre-orders and saying that the phone will be out April 28th. But, now the video and page on Wirefly.com have disappeared. Huh.

The unboxing video from Wirefly showed some Wirefly employee running through the phone, before promising that pre-orders would start the next day (April 21st) and that they would ship on April 28th. As I aforementioned, the page on Wirefly.com and YouTube video have disappeared. The safe bet would be that Verizon didn’t like Wirefly spilling the beans on the upcoming Droid Incredible 2 early, and then forced the retailer to yank it down. But, I think this establishes April 28th as a credible release date for the Droid Incredible 2.
Here’s what the specs of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 are expected to be:
- 3.8-inch Super LCD screen
- 1Ghz Snapdragon processor
- 768MB RAM
- 4GB memory
- Android 2.3 with HTC Sense
- 8MP camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera
Pricing wise, expect it to be the usual $199.99 with two year contract. Verizon recently starting selling phones for $250 or even $299 on contract, with their two new phones, the HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge, but we believe that this is just because they are 4G phones. Remember that Sprint charges a mandatory $10/month “premium data fee” for their 4G phones, even if you live outside a 4G area. Rather than doing something like that, Verizon seems to be charging a bit more for the phones up front.
