Amazon Gives Away $25 Appstore Credits Through Verizon
Amazon is ramping up its efforts to compete with Android Market. With every purchase of a Verizon Android device this week, you get $25 to spend at the Amazon App Store.

Since launch, Amazon’s Appstore for Android has grown to about 7,500 applications, including the much-anticipated Amazon Cloud Player, which is essentially storage space for playing music from your devices. This week, Amazon is partnering with Verizon for free store credits every time you buy an Android device.
The offer is valid when purchasing Verizon Android smartphones like the HTC Thunderbolt, which costs $129.99 with a two-year contract. The promo runs from April 25 and will last through the week.
Amazon expects the Appstore credit program to drive traffic to the Appstore and also to help promote the Amazon Wireless Portal. Verizon also expects to pus some products and subscriptions, especially with recently reduced handset prices.
