iOS 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak Still Possible for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad & iPod touch
Apple launched iOS 4.3.2 this week bringing a bunch of important fixes and security patches to its iOS devices out in the wild. Reports prior to the arrival of iOS 4.3.2 suggested that Apple was going to patch the untethered jailbreak too, so, naturally, we advised caution when it comes to updating your firmware.

Right on the very day iOS 4.3.2 was launched we told you that the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1 and the third and fourth generation iPod touches were still jailbreakable, the tethered way, as these devices will be jailbreakable for life, even if just tethered. But it looks like Apple did not patch that specific vulnerability that would allow the untethered jailbreak, which is the kind of jailbreak you want for your device.
That means an untethered jailbreak update for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, original iPad and the iPod touch 3G and 4G will be available soon, not that we’re advising you in any way to pursue such procedures. Naturally, whatever you put your handset though is your decision to take, after all you paid for the thing, but it’s also your responsibility and yours alone.
As for the iPad 2 jailbreak, the fact that Apple didn’t remove this particular vulnerability that brings an untethered jailbreak to old iOS devices doesn’t guarantee the iPad 2 will get an untethered jailbreak soon. In fact there’s no public tool available out there to jailbreak the iPad 2 just yet, so you’ll have to still hang in there and use your iPad 2 as it is, in Apple’s “jail”.
We’ll be back with more iOS 4.3.2 untethered jailbreak news in the near future as we would assume the current jailbreak tools will get updated in the following days so keep following us on Twitter and subscribe to the feed to have all the iOS jailbreak news delivered to you in a timely manner.
