Motorola Droid CommandOne Headset Found In Some Stores?
A few days ago, the Motorola Droid CommandOne Bluetooth headset was spotted in Verizon packaging, meaning that it was close to being released! Now, without any announcement, a reader of tech blog Phandroid is reporting that they’ve managed to buy one of the Droid-themed headsets! It cost $130 and they sent in pictures to that website.

Some are calling the Droid CommandOne the first “non-Android” Droid on Verizon. Har har. The headset was introduced last year at the Fall CTIA show by Motorola. While it has the same techno styling that it has now, it wasn’t branded the “Droid” CommandOne. We can only assume since then, it was picked up by Verizon to be an exclusive.
What makes the CommandOne headset so special? If you have Android 2.2 or later, you’ll be able to download an application from the Android Market and then your phone and headset will automatically sync. Not that pairing a Bluetooth device is impossible, but it’s a nice feature. They also promise “CrystalTalk” technology that uses dual-microphones for crystal clear calls. Plus, 5 hours of talk time battery life and 7 hours of standby time.
When we first covered it, I estimated it would cost “in excess of $80” and now it looks like this Verizon store was selling it to that reader for the price of $130. Is that too much for the headset? How much would you pay for it?
Still no “official” release announcement from Verizon or Motorola. I guess call your local Verizon Store to see if they’re selling them.
