iPad 3 to Get Better Screen, But Not Likely to Launch in 2011
The iPad 2 has just launched and everyone’s talking when the next upgrade will come. It seems like the iPhone 4′s retina display was missed in this iPad release. Will the iPad 3 have better screen display?

Apple is reportedly working on the iPad upgrade at the moment, and if sources are correct, one of the main features will be an improvement in the screen resolution. Touchscreen panel makers are being asked to support higher-quality resolutions, which will likely match that of the iPhone 4′s Retina display.
According to reports, Apple might even go for AMOLED technology, although this might be a limiting factor, since Samsung, the biggest AMOLED supplier, is a rival in the tablet industry.
Whatever the case, industry insiders believe that the iPad 2 is not a “transitional product” as many believe. The iPad 3 is not likely to launch within 2011. If Apple does release an upgrade within the year, it might be a minor update, which may or may not include the better screen. If this is the case, then we might see something like what Apple did with the iPhone 3G, which was upgraded to the iPhone 3GS. iPad 2G Pro or iPad 2S, anyone?
