Windows 8 App Store Sneak Peeks
We earlier shared a few new features that Microsoft is integrating into the upcoming Windows 8. One of them is an App Store (which everyone seems to be doing lately). Some screenshots from the beta give an indication of how the Windows App Store will work.

Apps and App Stores now seem to be the integral feature of any operating system. With a desktop-oriented OS like Windows 8, though, you would probably wonder where to put all those apps. Screenshots from beta testers indicate that the Windows Apps will be organized under the Desktop, and the App Store can be accessed via an Explorer-type interface.

Apps are then organized under an “Apps” folder. From the screenshots, it seems that even the traditional desktop-based applications have shortcuts or links in this particular Desktop folder. What’s not yet clear at this point is whether you can buy full-fledged application suites (like MS Office) from the Windows App Store, much like with the Mac App Store.
The source website is in Chinese, though, so if you do understand what they’re saying, we more than welcome any help in this regard.
