Humble Indie Bundle Returns In The Form Of Humble Frozenbyte Bundle

Pick Up Frozenbyte Games Like Trine & Shadowgrounds: Survivor In The Latest Iteration Of The Humble Indie Bundle

Is it that time of year again already? Well no, it isn’t, but who the hell cares? The Humble Indie Bundle is back, but things are a little bit different this time. Unlike of past Humble Bundle packs, where different game developers volunteered their games for the bundle, this one is made up entirely of games from one developer: Frozenbyte. Thus, the pack has taken on a new name, this time around being called the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle.

Otherwise, things work pretty much the same as Humble Bundles of the past – you name your price for a pack of indie games and decide how much of your money goes to the developers, how much goes to Child’s Play, and how much goes to the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The games in the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle are all DRM free, and you can activate them through Steam or OnLive.

There’s only three full games being offered in this Humble Bundle: Trine, Shadowgrounds, and Shadowgrounds: Survivor. However, your donation also secures you a pre-order of Frozenbyte’s upcoming title Splot, and if you’ll also be given a prototype of Jack Claw, a game that Frozenbyte never finished (you’ll also be given the source code too!). Unfortunately, Jack Claw is only available to Windows users at the moment.

Despite Windows users getting more bang for their buck, so far they’re keeping up with tradition and are the cheapest of the three major platforms – Windows users have paid an average of $4.14 for the pack, while Mac users have paid an average of $6.29 and Linux users have shelled out an average of $11.97. Even though the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle was only announced about six hours ago, has managed to rake in a total of $207,977, with 40,000 bundles sold (at the time of this writing).

If you want get your hands on this pack of great games, head over to humblebundle.com and pick one up. Remember: last year, those who paid more than the average amount – which currently stands at $5.15 – were treated to more games later on down the road, so it behooves you to drop more than just a Lincoln on the pack.
