iOS 4.3.2 Update to Fix Verizon iPad 2 3G Issues & FaceTime Problems
A few days ago we told you that Apple is prepping a new iOS update, iOS 4.3.2, which will address various issues and patch certain security holes and subsequently block jailbreak attempts, at least for a while and on certain devices.

Today we hear that Apple’s iOS 4.3.2 firmware will be released at some point next week, and, once installed, the new iOS version should deal with FaceTime problems and fix Verizon iPad 2 3G connectivity issues while also dealing with various Webkit security holes.
There’s no iOS 4.3.2 out in the wild yet, or at least the general public doesn’t have access to it just yet, so we don’t have any more details about its features at this time. What’s clear though is that iOS 4.3.2 will not bring major updates to the iOS environment and we probably won’t see such important features from Apple’s mobile platform until iOS 5 becomes official later in June.
The most important purpose of iOS 4.3.2 is apparently the fixing of those Verizon iPad 2 CDMA connectivity issues. As you already know, especially if you got an iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G from Verizon, Apple’s tablet has trouble connecting to Verizon’s network, which is something that needs to be addressed pretty fast. Those of you sporting a GSM iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G have probably not been affected by a similar issue, at least so far so there’s no reason to worry.
Those of you that rely on jailbreaks and unlocks should stay away from the iOS 4.3.2 update until it’s safe to go though the upgrade while also hanging on to the jailbreak and the consecutive unlock (that goes for iPhone owners only). We’ll be back with more iOS 4.3.2 news once Apple makes the new firmware available, so stick around for more details.
