HTC Pyramid Photos Get Leaked Ahead of Launch

New HTC Super Android Smartphone Gets Pictured, Not Official Yet

The HTC Pyramid is an upcoming super Android smartphone that we’re expecting to become official in the near future. The handset is expected to be very similar to the HTC EVO 3D or the HTC Thunderbolt, although we’re looking at a different kind of device here made by HTC.

The details about the Pyramid are scarce at this point but we know it will sport a 4.3-inch display, just like the Thunderbolt and the EVO 3D, qHD resolution, a 1.2GHz processor, most likely from Qualcomm, 768MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel back camera, a front-facing VGA camera for video calling, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and, last but not least, Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread on board with HTC Sense 3.0.

The pictures below are showing us the handset in its entire splendor but we’re still not looking at officially official press photos. The xda-developers have gotten their hands on these images from an anonymous tipster so we have no way of telling you whether we’re looking at the real thing or not.

It’s pretty surprising to have another hot Android handset out from HTC, considering the newly launched HTC Thunderbolt is very popular with the crowds and the HTC EVO 3D, made public at CTIA 2011, is going to hit stores too in the near future. Moreover the Pyramid was not presented at CTIA, so we can assume it will come out at a much later date.

We have no idea what U.S. carrier will get it and whether or not it will come with 4G WiMAX/LTE support. But it’s probably safe to say the Pyramid, or whatever its final name will be, will come to other markets too. After all, if the EVO 3D will be launched in Europe also, why shouldn’t the HTC Pyramid get a similar treatment? Or maybe the Pyramid will be the successor of the HTC Desire HD, and therefore it could be launched at some special European event later this year. Do you have any details to share about the HTC Pyramid?
