Jolicloud Enables Direct Google Docs Editing
Google’s Chrome OS has grown popular due to Google’s rolling out of free Cr-48 notebook computers. The concept of cloud-based operating systems is not exclusive to Google, though, and some offer advanced functionalities, like Jolicloud.

Google Docs is a great web app, especially with the ability to share and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets and presentations. The most popular means to access documents on Google Docs is through a browser. However, some mobile and desktop apps let you interact directly with documents. With a new functionality, Jolicloud lets you edit the OS directly via its file browser.
This feature is done in conjunction with Dropbox. This means that your documents are stored both in the cloud and locally, so you can edit files whether you’re online or offline, which makes Joli OS useful both as a cloud-based OS or a regular Linux-based desktop. Note that cloud-based OSes are excellent for use with netbooks and computers that don’t have great specs.
Joli OS has rolled out this feature recently, and if you’re not seeing it on your local Joli OS installation, simply refresh your desktop.
