Best Buy Launches Connect 4G Mobile Broadband, Will Be Available Month-To-Month & On-Contract [Best Buy Now Offering 4G Mobile Broadband, Service Comes Priced At $45 Per Month & Uses The Clearwire 4G Network]
Its been a while since Best Buy first launched their Connect mobile broadband service. And almost just as long since they announced that the Connect service would be available with 3G and 4G speed options. Well, flash forward till today and it looks like those interested can go ahead and sign up for Connect 4G.

“Best Buy Connect, Best Buy’s mobile broadband service for computing, today announced the arrival of 4G mobile broadband connectivity service on an expanded selection of computing devices sold at Best Buy stores nationally.”
Yup, not only can Best Buy customers get Connect 4G service, but they can do so on a wide variety of computers including models from Asus, Dell, HP, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. In total there are 23 devices to pick from. In terms of pricing, the Connect 4G service is $45 per month and it will be available with both a month-to-month and on-contract option. And those who go with the on-contract (two-year) option, they will get a few perks in the form of a waived $35 activation fee and up to $150 off of “select” hardware devices.
And similar to the original Connect 3G service, Connect 4G will use the Clearwire network for connectivity. With that comes the obvious in terms of availability — Connect 4G is only going to be available in markets where Clearwire service is available. In other words, that is currently limited to 70 markets across the US. That said, since the Connect 4G service is essentially re-branded Clearwire service, one could just as easily go directly to Clearwire to get the service. But then again, with the two-year agreement option that comes with a waived activation fee and up to a $150 savings on the hardware — we may be more inclined to visit Best Buy. After all, keeping an extra $150 plus $35 in our pocket sounds fairly nice and could potentially be enough for another gadget purchase.
