Kyocera Echo Now Available For Pre-Order With Sprint [Sprint's Dual-Touchscreen Smartphone, the Kyocera Echo Is Now Available For Pre-Order, Priced At $199.99 After Rebate & Along With Two-Year Agreement]
Sprint officially announced the Kyocera Echo back in mid-March and at that time they made a few promises. One that the handset would be available for purchase on April 17th and two that pre-orders would be available before the end of March.

Well, coming true to their word — you can now visit the Sprint website and pre-order a Kyocera Echo smartphone. Nothing surprising in terms of pricing, the handset comes as expected at $199.99. But just to make note, that $199.99 comes AFTER a $100 mail in rebate and along with a two-year agreement. Furthermore, according to the fine print, the purchase requires an “Everything Plan with data, Premium data add-on.”
And with that, the big question remains is just how successful the Kyocera Echo and its dual-touchscreen format is going to be. At first glance, it is interesting, but is interesting enough to make it successful? Plus, there has to be some concern that you are dooming yourself to stick with Android 2.2 forever and ever.
Otherwise, the Kyocera Echo displays each measure in at 3.5 inches and the other features include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording. In addition, when both screens are used together in tablet mode, that brings your ‘single’ display up to 4.7 inches. Another perk of the Echo comes in the ability to use one app between both screens. Of course, that is only on “supported” apps which at this point are said to include VueQue and YouTube. Probably the more common use for the dual-displays will be multi-tasking — one app on each display.
But the bottom line, if you were waiting for the Kyocera Echo to come available, then you can go ahead and place your order as of today and then mark your calendar with an appointment to pick it up in-store on April 17th.
