HTC Flyer To Hit T-Mobile This Summer

T-Mobile Looks To Join Sprint and Best Buy In Offering The HTC Flyer Tablet

If you’re looking for a new HTC Flyer tablet, you probably already know that Sprint will be offering these tablets as part of their own lineup, but there’s a second new addition you may not be familiar with, as T-Mobile has also announced plans to offer the device in their own stores.

It’s been some day for T-Mobile news, huh? Between the delay on the LG Optimus Pad and the official protest from Sprint about T-Mobile and AT&T’s big merger, they just keep cropping up everywhere! And with this announcement, that brings the numbers up to at least three places (counting Best Buy and their wi-fi only version) where you can pick up an HTC Flyer.

In case you need a quick update on the specs, the HTC Flyer is set to offer up Android 2.4 with a five megapixel rear facing camera, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera (so you can engage in those videoconferencing chores), as well as 16 gigs of storage,  a seven inch display showing at 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm processor as well as 3G and wi-fi connectivity (unless, again, you go to Best Buy, where you’ll get it without the 3G).

T-Mobile’s looking to get this in sometime this summer, though considering how things went with the LG Optimus Pad I’d take that with a grain of salt. Still though, the more places the better, as that reduces the chance of any one place running out of them, which is the worst thing that can happen if you’re looking to get your hands on a device.

Information on pricing out at T-Mobile, sadly, is not available, though that actually makes a note of sense considering that there’s likely to be a variety of prices, depending on what kind of plan and contract you end up going with. Still though, it should be out soon no matter where you go, so if you’re looking for an HTC Flyer, your chance to get one should be hitting soon.
