Machinarium Coming To PlayStation Network Later This Year
2009′s point-and-click indie hit Machinarium will be heading to PSN later this year, Amanita Design founder Jakub Dvorský recently announced at GameCityNights in Nottingham. There weren’t many details given on the game during the announcement, but considering it’s already launched on PC and Mac and was a part of last year’s Humble Indie Bundle, it’s already had enough exposure for most of the gaming community to know that this is something PS3 gamers should be getting excited about.

For those who aren’t in the know, the game focuses on a robot named Josef who is condemned to the scrapheap of the city of Machinarium, but resolves to re-enter the city, find his girlfriend, and fight the evil Black Cap Brotherhood. There’s a WiiWare release planned in addition to the PSN release, but we haven’t heard much on the WiiWare version lately.
Xbox 360 owners will be left out in the cold though, as Microsoft declined to publish the game on XBLA before it was originally released due to the fact that it wouldn’t be a console exclusive. After the success and exposure Machinarium has had in the past couple of years, though, I bet that’s a decision that Microsoft is kicking themselves for now.
There’s been no release date set for the PSN release of Machinarium, but when one is announced, we’ll let you know.
