Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition On Sale At Impulse For 50% Off [2009's RPG Of The Year Is Just $25 On Impulse, This Weekend Only]

Dragon Age 2 is getting mixed review scores – so why not go back to Dragon Age: Origins, which you know is awesome? Impulse is offering the 2009 “RPG of the Year” (and probably my 2009 Game Of The Year) for 50% off the list price, at just $25. Considering that it’s the Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game, the expansion pack and the complete collection of DLC – you’re getting a lot of gameplay at a low price.

Impulse is the digital download service (a Steam competitor) from game developer Stardock (of Sins of a Solar Empire fame). Even though I think most gamers flock to Direct2Drive and mainly Steam for their digital gaming purchase, Impulse actually has a really nice client UI and, as evidenced by this offer – some nice deals occasionally.

This $25 deal is apart of Impulse’s “Weekend Impulse Buys” deal, and it will only be good through March 27th, 2011 (this Sunday). They’re also offering the game Full Spectrum Warrior for $9. That game is another great modern military strategy game that is extremely underrated. They also have a handful of other lesser known indie games on sale, too. Maybe not to Steam levels, but Impulse usually has all sorts of sales and things going on all the time.

As I alluded to, BioWare’s sequel, Dragon Age 2 was released in recent weeks and the game has been getting mixed reactions. It doesn’t seem like it’s as good as the original for most folks, so why not jump back into that first game and kill some darkspawn?
