Hanwha UMA-iOSHDMI USB & HDMI Converter for iPad & iPhone 4 Announced
The Japanese don’t quite stop making innovative products, even with natural and man-made disasters have struck. Here’s one gadget that iPad and iPhone 4 owners might find interesting.

Hanwha’s UMA-iOSHDMI (quite a mouthful) is a USB and HDMI converter that plugs into the iPad, iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4th generation port. When connected, the adaptor lets users output in up to 1024×768 resolution to any HDMI-enabled television.
No further details have been announced, but this will probably be useful in enterprise and corporate setups, where you can output presentations using your iPad or iPhone. No word, though, on what kind of devices the USB port will support. It will be interesting to learn whether the HDMI & USB converter will let users plug in USB devices like flash drives or 3G modems. These will certainly extend the usefulness of your iPad or iPhone (say, by giving you more storage options).
The Hanwha UMS-iOSHDMI will cost 5,980 yen or about $74 in Japan. No word if and when the adaptor will be sold in US and other international markets.
