Tritton AX 120 Headphones Emerge To Up Xbox 360 Users’ Spoken Game [New Gaming Headphones From Mad Catz Include Mouthpiece And Separate Voice / Audio Controls]
Sometimes you just have to get your point across, even if that point amounts to little more than a minor insult. And nowhere is that capacity to get a minor point across quickly and clearly more prized than in competitive gaming. That’s why the folks out at Mad Catz are showing off their new Tritton AX 120 headsets.

It’s being called an entry level headset–mostly because its final cost comes in under three figures and many, many features are unavailable here–and with good reason.
They’re primarily available for Xbox 360 gamers, though there will be some more generalized applications as well. You’ll get a detachable microphone with muting, separate controls for voice and audio (think of it as an in / out settings level–you can alternately adjust the volume on what goes out as well as you can what comes in, so someone’s cry of glee when they sunk a headshot won’t deafen you, while your retaliatory knife-throw over a building that landed in your enemy’s head and the cries of victory from that won’t deafen them, either), adjustable over the ear support, and when you’re done gaming, you can even detach them and connect them to your MP3 player of choice, which only supports the concept that these are largely universal headphones, though sadly, PS3 users will be quite in the cold with these.
As for where you’ll be able to get them, they’re available now, and you can find them for $59.99 out at Amazon, plus likely a slew of others besides. I personally would look elsewhere, myself, as these are very basic headphones. And when you get down into the basics level you’ll find headphones that are a whole lot more basic and selling for less to boot. And if you’re okay with spending a bit more, you’ll find better out there without much incident.
