Resident Evil 4 & Code Veronica X Coming To PSN & XBLA

Resident Evil 4 & Code Veronica X Getting HD Re-Releases On XBLA & PSN In Celebration Of Resident Evil's 15th Anniversary]

Capcom announced today that they plan to bring Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade as a kickoff to the 15th anniversary of Resident Evil. Like most of the re-releases we’ve been seeing on PSN and XBLA lately, Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica X will be released with a HD makeover, with both games now sporting 720p resolution.

Capcom also posted a handful of side-by-side comparison screenshots along with the announcements, and the difference almost makes a 37th playthrough of Resident Evil 4 worth it. Both of these games will be sold as a package, which is being called the “Revival Selection,” in Japan, and beyond the coat of HD paint, it doesn’t look like either game is getting much extra – besides all of the bonus content found scattered around various Resident Evil 4 releases.

There’s no word on when these titles will launch on PSN or XBLA, but once a release date is announced we’ll let you know.
