Future Quantic Dream Games Will Be PS3-Exclusive
After finding critical and commercial success with their PS3-exclusive title Heavy Rain, developer Quantic Dream has revealed that they don’t have any plans to develop future games for the Xbox 360. More specifically, Quantic Dream founder and creator of Heavy Rain David Cage said that the company will stick to developing exclusively for the PS3, because Sony’s console and internal developers are second to none.

“We have an exclusive relationship with Sony,” Cage said in an interview with CVG. “The relationship on Heavy Rain has been fantastic. They trusted us from day one, supported us all the way through. It was really a very risky project [for them] and they never let us down.”
“It’s not just because I want to thank them, though,” he continued. “We have a relationship that works, we’re excited by the platform – we think it’s the best platform out there. We’re glad to continue to work this way.”
Quantic Dream’s exclusive relationship with Sony appears to have paid off, too – Heavy Rain has a solid 87 on metacritic.com, and at GDC 2011, Cage announced that it has sold over 2 million copies so far.
