Slacker Radio Announces Upcoming Availability Of ESPN Audio Content

ESPN Audio Coming To Slacker, Will Be Available For Free & Plus Listeners & Should Arrive "Soon"

Slacker Radio has announced the latest addition to their listening lineup — ESPN Radio. And perhaps best of all — the ESPN Radio content will be customizable and available to both Free and Plus listeners.

In fact if you are a sports fan and a Slacker listener, this sounds pretty good. In fact, the one drawback that we can see with this announcement is that the ‘when’ was left as the very general sounding “soon.” That said, lets keep our fingers crossed and hope it truly is soon. If nothing else, this could help to win over some sports loving Pandora listeners.

As to what the ESPN audio will be like on Slacker. Well, for those familiar with the ABC News coverage, it will be similar in a few respects. Users will be able to have an hourly sports news update added into any Slacker Radio music station. Furthermore, ESPN will also be available as a dedicated station allowing you to tune in whenever you feel the need to catch up some sports news.

As for some of what will be covered;

“ESPN on Slacker Radio will feature up-to-the-minute coverage of all major sporting events and top news stories on both a national and regional level. The interactive ESPN Radio station will also offer access to content from multiple ESPN programs and platforms, including Mike & Mike in the Morning, SportsCenter, The Herd with Colin Cowherd and more.”

And lastly, as far as the ESPN access coming to both Free and Plus subscribers, that was described as being “available to all Slacker listeners for free and Slacker Radio Plus subscribers will have access to the full ESPN experience.” In other words, this will be another perk for Radio Plus subscribers. For those wondering, a Slacker Radio Plus subscription is as low as $3.99 per month if purchased on an annual basis.
