Pokemon Global Link Launch Delayed
The launch of Pokemon Black and White’s online component Pokemon Global Link, which was originally scheduled to launch on March 30 in Europe and North America and March 31st in Australia, has been delayed until further notice in light of the Japan’s recovery from the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck the country a couple of weeks ago.

The news comes from the Pokemon Global Link Website, which Nintendo and the Pokemon Company updated to say: “As a result of the earthquake in Japan and the need to conserve energy resources, the launch date has been temporarily delayed. When a new launch date is determined, it will be published here on the Pokemon Global Link. We apologize sincerely for any inconvenience caused by this delay.”
Pokemon Global Link will allow players to access the Global Battle Union, where they can track their battle stats and compete in tournaments, and the Dream World, where they can enter their dreams and bring back things like items, berries, and other Pokemon. Both features sound awesome, but I’m pretty sure that most Pokemon players won’t mind waiting when actual work needs to be done to save real lives.
