CTIA 2011: Blio To Be Pre-Loaded On T-Mobile Products
For those of you who’ve looked at your T-Mobile phone balefully and said, man, this is a great phone and all but I wish it came with an ereader, prepare yourself for a truckload of happy as your wish has been roundly answered. T-Mobile products will be coming pre-loaded with the Blio ereader system, or so says word out of the CTIA show.

It’s been a long, long time–about a year and a half ago–since we last heard about the Blio software, designed to serve as a cell phone-based ereader, but now we’ve got the word out of the CTIA show that at least some T-Mobile products will pack the Blio software right out the door.
Just which devices will suddenly get a whole lot of added value is as yet unspecified, especially with the whole AT&T thing still muddying the waters somewhat, but what we do know is that they’re set to run on phones packing Android. And what’s more, once you actually have a phone with the Blio software running on it, you’ll in turn get access to the Blio storefront, a Baker & Taylor system that will have fully three million titles in both the pay and free variety on hand. And you’ll even be able to access that content through your Windows PC (sorry Mac folks, no mention of you on that front, though these days that’s not so much a concern as it once was), so you’ll get a whole load of added value that way.
So there you have it; pretty soon you’ll be able to get ebooks on your T-Mobile devices, so if you’re interested in a new phone you may want to hold off a bit until the Blio software boils down and gets into T-Mobile’s hands. That way, you can see how this new ereader works for yourself.
