Alienware M11X R3 Spec Sheet Slips Out Ahead Of Release
We’ve had a lot of different pieces in the Alienware lineup show up across our screens, going back even a couple years (which, in Internet Time, is almost forever). But the newly-emerged spec sheet on the Alienware M11X R3 is looking pretty sweet indeed, and well worth filling you in on, especially if you’re looking for a new laptop that can handle your games with any kind of capability.

Now, enough preamble: on to the specs. The preliminary specs released offer up fully three processor options on this beast: an Intel Core i5-2537M, an Intel Core i7-2617M, and an Intel Core i7-2675M are all set to be available. You’ll be able to add in as much as eight gigs of RAM, as well as choose from five different hard drive sizes–250 gig, 320 gig, 500 gig, 640 gig and 750 gig–or a 256 gig solid state drive, if you favor storage without moving parts. Plus you’ll get an 11.6 inch LCD monitor with LED backlight showing in 1366 x 768 resolution, and a variety of connectivity options including 3G, LTE / WiMax 4G, and almost certainly wi-fi and Ethernet ports, as well as the more mundane but oh so necessary bits like USB ports and the like. Also, word is that these are going to be designed a lot like the R2 model, so you can make some inferences from that.
Now here’s where things get a little weird. The Alienware M11X R3 is set for release sometime in April, which means anywhere from about two to six weeks. Yet, we have neither pricing data nor release schedules for just when everybody will be able to get their hands on this, or in what order. We’re minimum two weeks shy of launch but no one knows what the tour order is or how much tickets will cost? Strange, I say. But still, the Alienware M11X R3 is looking like a pretty robust muscle machine, especially as laptops go. So keep your eyes front, folks, because this one will probably be available for you to get your hands on soon.
