Amazon Offering Dance Central For Free With Kinect 4GB Xbox Bundle

Many people regard Dance Central as the best game out there for the Microsoft Kinect – and may be the only good thing Kinect has going for it in the early days, save for the weird hacking going on. Now, Amazon is offering a great deal – if you buy the 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, you’ll get Dance Central (a $50 value) for free! Wow!

The 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle includes the slim Xbox 360 with a 4GB flash drive, the Kinect sensor bar and a copy of Kinect Adventures – the pack-in game for Kinect. The bundle will set you back $300, and that’s a $100 premium over the regular 4GB Xbox 360. But, considering that many people consider Dance Central to be the only worthwhile game in the Kinect library at the moment, this is a terrific deal.

Dance Central developer Harmonix, who rose to prominence as the developer of Rock Band and the first developer of Guitar Hero, has been known to support their games with a ton of downloadable content, and they’ve already started to release Dance Central downloadable songs. They say that it’s a bit harder for them to release Dance Central downloadable content (because they have to hire a choreographer to come up with unique dances for each song) and they’re a bit more expensive than the Rock Band songs, but it’s still great to see them supporting their games with new stuff.
