Nokia C7 Rumor Suggests An April 6th Release With T-Mobile
The big news surrounding Nokia as of late involves Windows Phone 7 and when those handsets will finally arrive for sale. But in the meantime, for better or worse, Nokia still has another operating system with Symbian.

That said, it looks like we may soon see a Symbian based handset arrive here in the US with T-Mobile. And arrive with a fairly affordable price tag at that. The handset is the Nokia C7, which is said to be sporting the codename of “tiger” within T-Mobile and arriving as the Astound.
Anyway, according to the details we have seen so far, the C7 is going to come available on April 6th and it will be priced at $79.99. Of course, that price assumes a two-year agreement. And also worth noting, that will be the price after some yet to be revealed mail-in-rebates.
Moving on, while some may be surprised to hear Symbian news in regards to T-Mobile here in the US, this may not be the end of it. Further (still rumored) details suggest that T-Mobile will be launching a total of (up to) five Symbian based Nokia handsets this year.
With that, whether the Nokia C7 Astound will be able to win over any of the T-Mobile customers is yet to be seen, but it is interesting to see it coming available at this point. But then again, most of your average phone buyers probably have no idea that Nokia has partnered up with Windows Phone 7 and therefor would have no idea that they should consider waiting. But then again, those Nokia branded WP7 handsets are not expected to arrive until 2012 anyway.
Bottom line, CTIA is quickly approaching and it looks like we are going to have to keep an eye out for T-Mobile Nokia announcements.
And lastly, in terms of the C7, this handset features a 3.5 inch display, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS (with OVI Maps Navigation), 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
