Kyocera Echo Available April 17
Kyocera wowed the mobile world by announcing a dual-touchscreen Android smartphone. The Echo will be available starting April 17 for $199.99 on a two-year contract with Sprint.

Sprint’s Kyocera Echo features two 3.5 capacitive touchscreens, and will run Android 2.2 FroYo. Kyocera earlier announced that the Echo will feature four modes, which will take advantage of the dual screen setup. We suppose this means that users can display information on one screen, while actively manipulating the other. At the very least, the bottom half can contain the keyboard, while the upper part displays the text entry field, which maximizes the screen real estate.
The Kyocera Echo also comes with Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, 5-megapixel camera with HD recording capability and flash.
Sprint will start shipping the Kyocera Echo by April 17, but new subscribers and existing Sprint users eligible for a plan extension can reserve by March 26.
We’re wondering whether Kyocera will still bundle in the extra battery earlier advertised. Does this mean the Echo will be a power-hog with its two LCD touchscreens?
