HTC Flyer Pre-Order Available in the UK; Release Date Pegged for Mid-April
We showed you the HTC Flyer live from Spain last month and the 7-inch Android tablet seems to be getting closer to being officially released. Clove is already taking pre-orders for this Gingerbread tablet in the UK and those of you willing to secure their unit right now should immediately pay £600 (VAT included) and start waiting for the tablet to be shipped to their house.

Naturally the best thing to do would actually be waiting for HTC to announce the availability and official pricing details for the HTC Flyer before committing to purchasing the device. That way you could actually save some money in the process, since there’s really no point to pre-order the tablet with at least a month to go before the HTC Flyer will be available in stores.
We have no launch dates for the HTC Flyer yet, but it would seem that HTC would launch it at some point in mid-April. The tablet will come with a Gingerbread version on board at launch but should be upgraded to Honeycomb at some point down the road.
The HTC Flyer looks pretty slick and we certainly loved the demo we got at MWC 2011, but will a 7-inch tablet actually be able to fight the new iPad 2? Here are some HTC Flyer specs and features that should help you decide whether to buy the first HTC tablet or not:
