Google to Launch New Social Networking Service?
The great thing with social networking is that you get to share information and activities with your friends online. The bad thing about it is that you sometimes can’t control the spread of information. The solution: limiting info to certain circles of friends.

If you’ve posted photos of you and your friends in drunken stupor or drug-induced nirvana, you know that this will leak out to unintended people at one time or another. Ever hear about people getting fired or failing to get hired because of bad online behavior?
Even if you’re not necessarily posting racy photos and rowdy updates on your social network profile, the issue is sometimes about relevance. You might be posting updates on your Facebook account that some of your friends might find interesting, but not all. Your gamer friends might like your videos about your latest gaming exploits, but your musician friends might not be so interested.
And so Google is rumored to have yet another social network in the works. It will supposedly be called either Google Circles or Google Me. Details are sketchy, but sources say the service will let users post photos, videos and status updates, and these will only be shared with relevant contacts, or your closest circle of friends.
Still, Google denies developing something definite at this point. At the very least, it’s not a product or service in the sense that it’s like Facebook or Google’s own Google Buzz. Rather, Google is likely to be doing research on something via Labs that it might launch in the near future.
