White Apple iPhone 4 to Be Released Spring 2011
The white version of the iPhone 4 has seen some launch delays, and it’s been rumored not to reach the market at all. A recent tweet by Apple exec Phil Schiller, confirms that the iPhone 4 is coming to market soon, and that time will be this spring.

“The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!),” the tweet says. While this has not come from a full-blown, full-fledged media release by Apple, the fact that Schiller is Apple’s senior vice president for worldwide product marketing will mean that he is in the know as to product launch dates. A spring release will also mean that the white iPhone 4 is probably under production by Apple’s OEM contractors.
However, there’s one thing that’s not 100% about Schiller’s Twitter post. He says “white iPhone” and not “white iPhone 4.” Does this mean that Apple has something else other than the iPhone 4 that will come in a white version this spring? Could it be an upgrade to the iPhone 4, or a next-generation iPhone?
If we follow Apple’s usual product roadmap, the company will wait until WWDC later this year (likely in June) to unveil a major upgrade to the iPhone line. Until then, iPhone junkies will have to be content with marveling at the beauty of the white iPhone 4.
