Olivetti Olipad Android Tablet Launched
Enterprise users are probably among the biggest market for tablet computers because of the usefulness of tablets in the workplace. Olivetti, more popularly known as a manufacturer of typewriters, calculators and other office equipment is launching their own tablet, the Olipad.

The Olipad will feature a 10-inch touchscreen display at 1024×600 resolution, and runs on an NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform. The tablet will connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi and 3G networks. The Olivetti Olipad will launch with Android 2.2.2 (FroYo) installed, and has a USB port, HDMI output and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
One noteable feature that the Olipad has its that it will run Olivetti’s own Application Warehouse, aside from Google Android Market. This is said to include productivity and business-related applications that run on the cloud, meant to help boost productivity and promote cost-savings.
The Olipad is priced at 399 euro (about $560), and will be out in the market March 7th, initially sold in Italy by TIM and Telecom Italy. Targeting the Olipad at business users, Olivetti hopes to sell 1.5 million tablets within 2011.
