First Magicka Expansion Drops The Wizards In Vietnam

Magicka: Vietnam Shows The Vietnam War Through The Eyes Of A Wizard

No, that headline isn’t a joke. The first Magicka expansion coming from Arrowhead Game Studios will indeed place the wizards on the front lines as they fight in the Vietnam war. While I can’t say for sure that having wizards on the battlefield would help, I think we all know that not having them there isn’t doing us any favors, either. Check out the new video for Magicka: Vietnam after the break.

As you can see in the promotional poster above, Arrowhead is taking a page out of DICE’s book by pretty much lifting the template used for the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 cover art and applying it to their own game, albeit in a much more hilarious manner. All I have to say is that if the first expansion for Magicka is this quirky and awesome, the the DLC we’ve got in the pipeline is definitely something to get excited about.

No solid release date has been set yet, but Arrowhead and Paradox Interactive say the expansion will be out this spring.
