When Windows Phone 7 was announced, Asus was one of the first brands to signify intent to develop phones with the Microsoft smartphone OS. However, no Asus WP7 model has been released to date.

Nokia made waves with its announcement of a partnership with Microsoft and a switch to Windows Phone. While Nokia does not have Windows Phone handsets on hand yet, the company plans to fast-track development for a 2011 release.
