Microsoft Rolling Out 'Must Have Games' For Windows Phone 7 This Spring

Microsoft Bringing Six Titles Including Plants Vs. Zombies, Doodle Jump To Windows Phone 7 This Spring

Now that you’ve got your shiny new Windows Phone 7 device, you’re going to need to pack it with all kinds of different apps – namely, ones everyone else already has. Luckily for you, Microsoft recently announced plans to release six “Must Have Games,” for Windows Phone 7 through Xbox Live starting this spring.

The games that qualify as “Must Have Games,” are Plants vs. Zombies, Hydro Thunder Go, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, geoDefense, and Doodle Jump. Microsoft hasn’t set a date for the beginning of the promotion, nor have they announced a release date, but once the promotion begins a new game will be released every week. To sweeten the deal (and perhaps to get you to stomach buying the game once more), Microsoft says that that all of the games will support Achievements and Leaderboards.

While Microsoft is keeping tight-lipped on details for the moment, be sure to check back here – we’ll be sure to let you know when they announce release dates for these Windows Phone 7 titles.
