Local Best Buy Store Tweets Release Date For HTC Thunderbolt
The Roseville, California Best Buy – the source of cutting edge Android news, right? Stop laughing, as it seems that whoever is running the Twitter account for Best Buy #129 in Roseville (suburban Sacramento) may have spilled that the HTC Thunderbolt, Verizon’s first 4G phone, is delayed until March 4th.

The Tweet was simple, as you can see above, they wrote:
HTC Thunderbolt launch has been delayed :( It looks like it may launch on Thursday, March 4th. Stay tuned for more info.
Ironically, the 4th of March is a Thursday this year, so I hope whoever wrote that doesn’t work in accounting (zing, I’ll be here all week). Shortly after being posted, that Tweet was yanked from the account and now it has been featured on major tech blogs, like Engadget.
The tech blog echo chamber has been sort of confused when it comes to the HTC Thunderbolt. Early rumors had pinned it as possibly coming out on Feb 24th or Feb 28th. Our own contact inside Verizon told us that they had no clue when the Thunderbolt was coming out, so there seems to be a lot of confusion out there regarding exactly when the 4G phone is coming out.
Anyway, the phone itself is pretty cool. I got my hands on the phone back at CES and it was my favorite of the 4G phones coming to Verizon, despite not having any dual-core processors or the other crazy specs of the other phones. It felt good in the hand, was quick and responsive and was thin and light. What more do you want from a phone?
