HTC Incredible S Out For UK Carriers Tomorrow [Vodafone & O2 Getting The HTC Incredible S Tomorrow, Both Free On Contract From Phone Retailer]

HTC introduced the Incredible S – a modest refresh of last year’s Droid Incredible – just a week ago at the Mobile World Congress. Now, the phone will be coming out tomorrow (February 25th) on mobile carriers Vodafone and O2 via retailer mobiles.co.uk.

Via a Tweet today, mobiles.co.uk promised that the phones were shipping tomorrow, and also revealed that the phones would be free on contract from both carriers. As I’m sure our readers will be aware, that’s actually fairly common in the UK mobile market, where customers have the freedom of taking any phone to any carrier.

To remind you, here are the specs on the Incredible S:

• Android 2.2 w/ HTC Sense
• 1GHz processor
• 768MB RAM
• 1.1GB memory
• 4-inch screen
• 8MP camera w/ 720p recording
• 1.3MP front-facing camera.

Our man Chris Smith got his hands on the device at the Mobile World Congress last week and handled the device, and didn’t have particularly anything bad to say about it. Without having tried the device, I’m a bit disappointed it’s only coming with Android 2.2 (when HTC’s other phones unveiled at the show were coming with Android 2.4) and still shipping with last year’s 1GHz MSM7200 processor.
