Epic Launching Gears Of War 3 Beta in April With Three Versus Multiplayer Modes

Your neighbor’s cat pictures will keep. You and your Facebook account have bigger… erm, Locust to fry. Word is coming down from on high that the Gears of War 3 beta will be seeing an april-flavored release for owners of Epic’s other amazingly playable but otherwise completely juvenile power fantasy, Bulletstorm, which reportedly came with beta keys. And unless you want to leave the decision of what four maps make it in there to people who aren’t busy stalking other people’s pets, that’s where Facebook will come in handy.

I occasionally worry that I may eventually eat my words if one of those infamous trailers with the unbereably pretty music that comes around before every release actually informs the game’s atmosphere this time around, but ash statues of little girls aside, it’ll probably only take one Cole Train moment to put my mind at ease.
