Special Pokemon Black and White DSi Bundles Coming
On March 27th, Nintendo will release the 3DS in North America. Just to tempt all the Nintendo loyalists, the company is releasing an awesome Pokemon Black and White DSi Bundle less than a month before, on March 6th. As you can tell from the picture below, it’s a new DSi with special Pokemon designs that will be bundled with either a copy of Pokemon Black or White. So, you feel like buying another DSi when the 3DS will be just three weeks away?

The DSi handhelds that come in the bundle will include a design of either Reshiram or Zekrom – the two legendary Pokemon from Black and White. It’ll also come with an exclusive carrying case for your DSi, and the game of course. That’s all it comes with – so no limited edition Ash Ketchum busts or art books or anything.
The bundle is priced at $180, which, according to gaming blog Joystiq, will come in about $5 less than if you bought Pokemon Black and White and a DSi separately. That’s a good deal, but the value proposition here is “Will you buy a DSi when the 3DS is coming at the end of the month?” Folks are already citing the concerns about the 3DS game library as a reason to stay with the DSi a little longer.
The Pokemon Black and White DSi bundles are already up for pre-order at all the major retailers (GameStop, Best Buy, etc.). Officially, these are “limited edition” bundles, so they may be hard to find eventually. Buy at your own risk.
