Sesame Street Kinect Game Gets First Trailer From Double Fine

Sesame Street Once Upon A Monster Gameplay Footage Now Rolling

You’ve seen what they can do with psychic detectives, heavy metal album covers, Halloween costumes and Matryoshka dolls, but now they hold some of your childhood’s most treasured memories in their hands. Double Fine, headed by Tim Schafer, he of Monkey Island and Psychonauts fame, have taken up an endeavor that’s dizzying in  scope but enchanting in purpose.

For a game that’s coming out in the fall and marks two firsts for the studio, namely licensed games and Kinect games, Once Upon A Monster looks amazingly polished. The aim is apparently to make an uplifting and breezy game that can still be funny and still be a proper Sesame Street experience, to be enjoyed with the entire family. Well, no worries about humor with Tim Schafer on board, although this being Double Fine I wouldn’t rule out the inclusion of some last-minute RTS mechanic.
