iPad 2 To Launch on March 2? [Apple to Hold Media Event on March 2. Is This the Much-Anticipated iPad 2 Announcement?]
Speculations about the iPad 2 have tech industry observers excited and anxious at the same time. For one, Apple stocks seem to be on the decline amid a rumored delay. Sources say, though, that Apple might be announcing the iPad update by next week.

If you’re planning to buy an iPad anytime soon, perhaps you’d like to hold off on your purchase, until we confirm what, exactly, will be announced this March 2nd. Sources say that Apple will be holding the much-anticipated media event next Wednesday, and that it will likely to be about the iPad 2. According to sources, the schedule set is firm, and will likely to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
As previous speculations, rumors and analyses (here we go again with analysts) have put it, the iPad 2 will be thinner, have two cameras, a multi-core processor, and 3G+CDMA support, among other new features and functionalities. I guess we would know for sure in a week.
Part of the questions on the March 2 event will, of course, be whether CEO Steve Jobs will be in attendance. Jobs is currently on leave due to health concerns, but we don’t think this reduces his reality distortion field at all.
