US Cellular Announces "Family Sized" Buy One Get Up To Five Free Offer On Android Smartphones
US Cellular has announced their latest take on a buy one get one offer and it looks like they have stepped things up a bit and are offering the ability to get five for buying one.

That said, there are some catches. First, this buy one get five offer is dealing with Android so if you are not looking for that, then think again. Furthermore, the offer specifies which handset must be purchased and which you can get for free. Basically, while you only have to buy one and can get up to five for free — you have to buy a Samsung Mesmerize and can get the LG Optimus U for free.
The Mesmerize is priced at $99.99 and the Optimus U is priced at $29.99. And there is yet another catch which comes in the form of a mail in rebate. The offer is noted as being free “after $80 mail-in rebates.” And that is rebates, as in plural. In other words, while these phones will be free in the long run, be prepared to shell out some cash on the day of purchase.
In terms of the Mesmerize, this is the Galaxy S handset and it features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot with a 16GB card included with purchase. And last we heard in terms of the Mesmerize and Android 2.2, that is coming in March. As for the Optimus U, this handset features a 3.2 inch display, 600MHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot with 2GB card included. And as a small bonus with the Optimus U, this handset is shipping with Android 2.2 Froyo.
With that, we should also point out that this offer is set to expire on March 10th. Otherwise, the complete Android smartphone lineup with US Cellular is now priced at $99.99 or less. The Mesmerize is $99.99, the Optimus U is $29.99, the LG Apex is $49.99, the HTC Desire is $69.99 and the Samsung Acclaim is free.
