Split The Rent Can Calculate Whether Roommates Are Paying Their Fair Share
There are few young people who haven’t run into this problem. You decide to move in with a friend or two into a really nice apartment that you all love. One problem is that the bedrooms are almost never going to be the exact same size, and on occasion, one bedroom might be quite a bit larger than the next.

With the new WebApp called Split The Rent, you can actually run several different qualifiers that will eventually show you exactly how much each tenant should be paying based on whether they are getting the most for their money when it comes to their bedroom size. Of course a program like this can also cause quite a bit of strife if the roommates are paying right down the middle and it turns out one should be paying significantly more or less than they are. The app takes into account not only the size of the room, but also how many windows there are, and the size of the closets as well as if any of the bedrooms have bathrooms attached. All in all this can either be used as a fun little app, or could actually be a tool used to fairly divvy up the rent.
