The folks over at Polyphonal Digital recently released a new patch for Gran Turismo 5, bringing the game to version 1.06. Patch 1.06 brings its share of gameplay changes, AI adjustments and issue corrections with it, but it adds a couple of features that Gran Turismo 5 enthusiasts will likely be giddy over.

The first major addition to the game is remote racing, which allows players to start and monitor races from their web browser. All you need to do is boot up your PS3 before you go to work in the morning, and then once you arrive head over to gran-turismo.com to start your day full of ~~hard, rewarding work~~ exciting races.

Patch 1.06 also adds support for multi-monitor play. Unlike remote racing though, this feature is only for those who really love Gran Turismo 5 and have a mountain of money to spend, because multi-monitor plays requires that you have an additional PS3 and copy of GT5 for every monitor you wish to add. Still, the benefits may outweigh the risk of personal bankruptcy, because as the video below shows, playing Gran Turismo 5 with five monitors is freaking awesome.
