First PlayStation Tablet Details Revealed, Honeycomb, PS1 Games Confirmed

Sony's PlayStation Tablet Rumored To Launch In September For $599

We were just at an inordinately swanky London venue admiring Sony Ericsson’s latest line-up, including the Xperia Play, but nary a peep escaped anyone’s lips about any sort of PlayStation tablet. Could it be that Sony have finally learned to keep a secret or at the very least stopped “accidentally” leaking every move they make? Well, yes and no, I guess you can’t call this an Xperia Play-style device leak since the actual device doesn’t exist yet.

How does the thought of a PlayStation-branded Honeycomb Android-toting tablet with a 9.4 inch 1280×800 screen and Tegra 2 insides grab you? How about the fact that one of the sources of the leak calls it “beautiful, the best thing” they’ve ever seen from Sony? It’s called the S1 and its existence is pretty much confirmed. It’s apparently due for a September release, for a $599 price matching the original PS3′s  because Sony still think they’re Apple for some reason.
