Jurassic Park: The Game Coming This April To PC and Mac
Yep, another story about Telltale Games. Today, the adventure game developers have updated their website to include pages about Jurassic Park: The Game, and they’ve also released a new trailer that gives us a taste of the dinosauer-laden adventure game will be like.

Telltale Games is known for their games having a light and comedic sensibility to them, but almost as soon as they announced that they had licensed the rights to make a Jurassic Park game from NBC Universial, they started fending off the notion that the Jurassic Park would be light and funny. Design director at Telltale, Dave Grossman, was even quoted as saying something to the effect of (my paraphrasing) “We won’t have funny cartoon dinosaurs.”
There’s also been some question about how a (sometimes) slow-paced point-and-click adventure game can be suitable for Jurassic Park. Trips to Isla Nublar usually end up with running, screaming and shooting, as fans of the series will tell you. My colleague here, Eric Abent, wrote about on TFTS a month ago that Telltale was looking at the game Heavy Rain on the PlayStation 3 for inspiration.
I’ll embed the trailer below. As you can see, it looks to take place during the events of the first movie. As a Jurassic Park fanboy myself, I can tell you that the dinosaur noises are a little off. You can hear Wayne Knight’s screaming in there though (“All certified mail is registered… but registered mail is not necessarily certified.”)
What do you think? Will you be picking up this game?
