MWC 2011 Live: Samsung Galaxy Fit Hands-on Preview
Following the Samsung Galaxy Ace, which we’ve just seen a little earlier we have a new Android handset announced by Samsung and getting ready to hit various stores in the near future. The Galaxy Fit is still going to be a cheap Android handset, a placebo Galaxy device if you will, meant to offer you a much cheaper Galaxy S experience.

The Fit fills right in your hand. It simply fits, and it’s pretty light too. That doesn’t mean that smartphone enthusiasts will appreciate the handset especially knowing there’s a much better Galaxy S 2 waiting around the corner.
The Fit has a “sophisticated look” but I guess that’s just Samsung way of trying to make it sound a lot more expensive than it feels – notice how I’m not directly referring to that overall plasticky feeling again. The phone will come with a 1,350mAh batter, a 5-megapixel camera, Android 2.2 Froyo under the hood (now this is something a flagship device like the Galaxy S can’t really pull off, can it?) and support for all the Android apps and Samsung mobile entertainment you can get.
The Fit doesn’t have a price tag or a release date but it’s going to be more than affordable. In fact expect this one to be quite a steal, after rebates and subsidies.
