INQ Cloud Touch & Cloud Q Announced
Let’s face it. Facebook is probably the biggest thing for certain market demographics–namely the youth. With this in mind, INQ has announced their Cloud Touch and Cloud Q mobile smartphones. Note that emphasis is on “cloud.”

INQ earlier announced that it will be making Android touchscreen phones. This time around, the mobile manufacturer has announced two models, one with a purely touchscreen interface, and another with a QWERTY input.

Both the INQ Cloud Touch and Cloud Q run on a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor and will ship with Android 2.2 FroYo. The interface is also highly customized, and early testers say you would be surprised to learn that the phone runs Android at all.
The INQ Cloud series has all the usual connectivity options–WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and supports quad-band GSM, tri-band HSPA, and EDGE. The phones also sport different sensors, including ambient light, proximity, compass, accelerometer and of course, a camera (5 megapixels). And the main difference? The Cloud Touch is a traditional touchscreen Android phone, while the Cloud Q sports a QWERTY keyboard.
What’s notable with INQ’s Cloud Touch and Cloud Q are the use of Facebook’s Social Graph API, which helps users keep updated with their social networking contacts and status at a glance. The Android media player has also been replaced with Spotify, meaning users who have a premium account can stream their music on the go.
The INQ Cloud Touch and INQ Cloud Q bring Facebook to people with a single touch while they are mobile and demonstrate the power of socially aware devices. INQ has built an innovative and easy-to-use set of features that enable people to use common Facebook interactions such as viewing photos and videos, chat, message and check in to their favorite businesses, all from the home screen.
Both phones will sell this third quarter of the year starting with the UK market, with an expected retail price of $250 (equivalent) without plan.
