Samsung Galaxy S 4G Pricing Revealed, Will Be $148.88 With Walmart

T-Mobile Remains Quite On Galaxy S 4G Pricing, But Walmart Data Sheet Has It Listed At $148.88 On A Two-Year Agreement

T-Mobile offered up the official details in terms of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G back on February 2nd, except like so many other smartphone announcements — the left off two of the most important items, the price and release date.

Well, to get technical, T-Mobile did state that the Galaxy S 4G would be available sometime this month so we can say with certainty that it will arrive in February. Well, that is unless there is a delay of some sort. But that aside, they did not offer anything for the price. Well, flash forward till the present day and it looks like the handset is going to debut at around $150.

The pricing details come by way of a leaked Walmart data/pricing sheet that is showing an on-contract price tag of $148.88, which could potentially mean it will be priced at $149.99 direct with T-Mobile. Of course, the Walmart price could be inaccurate and as for the potential T-Mobile pricing — that is nothing but some speculation and we all know how that goes.

Furthermore that same Walmart sheet has the Galaxy S 4G listed priced at $248.88 with a two-year Flexpay agreement and $650 to go contract free. And with that, we are now left wondering the release date.

And to make the obvious comparison between the Galaxy S 4G and the current Galaxy S Vibrant, in this respect the $150 price point seems accurate as the Vibrant is currently sitting at $99.99. Of course, we should point out that price comes AFTER a $50 mail-in-rebate, which means maybe the Galaxy S 4G will be $199 with a $50 mail-in-rebate.

Otherwise, in terms of specs, the big difference between the Vibrant and the Galaxy S 4G is the support for the HSPA+ network as well as Android 2.2. Remaining features of the Galaxy S 4G include a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Cortex X8 Hummingbird processor, 16GB of internal storage and a 5 megapixel camera.
