Early Purchasers Of Pokemon Black & White Will Unlock Victini

Nintendo has announced another Pokemon distribution event, this time offering the legendary Pokemon Victini, which Nintendo calls “the victory Pokemon,” to early adopters of Pokemon Black and White. Victini will be offered to those who buy either version of the latest iteration of Pokemon games between launch day (March 6th) and April 10.

Unlike past Pokemon distribution events, however, they’re not just going to up and give Victini to you. Those who buy Pokemon Black or Pokemon White before April 10th will be given a special Liberty Pass, which in turn allows the player to catch Victini in the game.

Victini, who Nintendo describes and the first Fire and Psychic type Pokemon, comes complete with the Victory Star ability, an ability that not increases Victini’s accuracy, but the accuracy of friendly Pokemon it’s battling side-by-side with.

Nintendo hasn’t announced the regions Victini will be available in yet, but since March 6th is the release date of the North American version, it’s possible that this event is only taking place in North America.
