Notion Ink Delays Some Adam Shipments To Valentine’s Day [Damaged Shipment of Touchscreens Delays Some Shipments]
Bad news for some of you out there: if you recently ordered an Adam from the folks out at Notion Ink, you may well have already gotten a nasty surprise in your email inbox from them detailing how your shipment has been delayed, and delayed all the way back to Valentine’s Day.

Just over five percent of all ordered Adams will be delayed, or so the story goes from Notion Ink head Rohan Shravan, and the delay will stretch back to February 14th.
What’s behind this sudden delay, you wonder? Interestingly, it’s nothing that anyone really could have done anything about, but rather, a result of a set of damaged touchscreens from Notion Ink’s primary touchscreen vendor, Sintek. And for Sintek’s part, they’ve pulled the very gracious customer service move (though it’s doubtless going to be painful to the employees) of promising to work through the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday to get the replacements into Notion Ink’s hands in as rapid a fashion as possible.
With a fresh set of touchscreens in hand, Notion Ink will be able to complete its shipments, and thus, have the delayed Adam tablets to their customers. Many hope that this will be the last delay the tablet suffers, and since apparently many have already shipped, it’s a pretty small hit overall.
Still though, for those who ordered part of that five percent, it’s got to be downright infuriating that, once again, they’ve found their shipments delayed, and hopefully Shravan et al will make it right with a little discount on the back end. It would no doubt ease the sting of all the suffering Notion Ink users have had to grapple with just trying to get their hands on the stuff they ordered possibly back last December, but for that last five percent, it’ll likely be worth it just to finally get hands on their devices.
